March is Women's History Month! We'll be celebrating the ladies all month long, and we're inviting you to join us for local events supporting female entrepreneurship, arts, networking, empowerment, and good times. Check out the list of Milwaukee events we've put together for you to attend in the month of March. Shout out to the powerful and fearless women who have paved the way for this amazing lineup of celebrating women this month as well as to those who continue to pave the way!

Speed Networking - Building Relationships (One Round at a Time)

Wednesday, March 6th from 5:30-8:00 PM at Central Standard Distillery

SpeedNetworking may sound a lot like "speed dating" but it works very differently. We provide an opportunity to meet accomplished professionals just like yourself face-to-face in a small-group environment. The rotation approach and networking structure allow you to maximize your connections and build relationships.

Whether you are an entrepreneur or small business owner or work in corporate America, our events offer the perfect occasion to expand your contacts. We feel building your business relationships should be a comfortable and relaxed venture.



The Fundamentals of Building Your Virtual Business

Thursday, March 7th from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Milwaukee Public Library East Branch

If you're craving the flexibility and freedom to have more control over your income, travel when your heart desires, be choosey about projects, and/or still participate in afternoon playdates, think about applying your skillsets to a building your virtual business. In the Fall of 2018, Kiley launched the Work From Home Playbook, a series of five online courses to help you get started on your entrepreneurial adventure. This session will be a high-level overview of the main areas of your business you'll want to address, including Business Set-up Essentials, Branding and Service Offerings, Website Creation and Launch, Marketing and Outreach, and Operational Processes and Systems.



Boss Ladies MKE: A Real Conversation on the Ups and Downs of Women's Entrepreneurship

When Women Lead: Perspectives on Growth and Company Culture

Friday, March 8th from 8:00-10:00 AM at Emmons Business Interiors

Women continue to rise through the ranks in business at greater numbers year over year. What’s more, women are proving that their businesses, like those of their male counterparts, can drive successful financial returns. We've gathered a group of panelists who either are, or work under, female bosses to have a no-holds-barred conversation on what it's like to grow (and succeed) under strong female leadership.

The Other 364 Days with lululemon

Friday, March 8th from 7:30-8:30 PM at lululemon athletica Third Ward

Join lululemon Third Ward and Sojourner Family Peace Center for an educational seminar on what they are up to in our community. Learn about what Sojourner offers to victims of family violence and how they provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.



Women's Night at the Theatre

Wednesday, March 13th from 6:00-10:00 PM at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater

Join WCREW along with The Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee, Lean In Milwaukee, and MAC Women for a night of female empowerment and camaraderie as we watch a performance of The Chinese Lady.



Women Empowering Girls MKE with Project Hope Youth Program

Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30-7:30 PM at 2004 N 33rd Street

Women Empowering Girls - We inspire, We dream and We empower.

A program for girls that is committed to creating change and building voices of young women of color through focusing on self-esteem, life skills, confidence, etiquette, and higher education.
Come join us for our meet and greet and learn about our program, meet new girls, free food and meet our mentors.



Private Screening of Captain Marvel from She Stands Tall of Melnick & Melnick

Monday, March 18th from 6:00-8:30 PM at Marcus North Shore Cinema

Captain Marvel is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel universe. And she's a woman. Join us for $17 to meet fellow female professionals and enjoy this private showing of the first female-led Marvel film. Ticket includes admission and small popcorn and soft drink.

She Stands Tall will also be collecting donations for the Milwaukee Women's Center. If you would like to participate, please bring items from this list: New underwear and bras, Socks, Disposable diapers, Kid-friendly art supplies, School supplies, Gloves and mittens, Board games



LUNAFEST with Marquette University Women's Innovation Network (MU-WIN)

Tuesday, March 19th from 3:00-9:00PM at the Todd Wehr Chemistry Building - Auditorium

LUNAFEST® is a program of eight short films that are BY, FOR and ABOUT women. Groups like ours host LUNAFEST® screening events annually all around the country. The Marquette University Women’s Innovation Network (MU-WIN) is pleased to host this year’s event during Women’s History Month. Choose either the AFTERNOON (3:30 PM) or EVENING (6:30 PM) screening.



Voices of Leadership: Jessica Shortall

Thursday, March 21st from 7:30-10:00 AM at Mount Mary University

Voices of Leadership is a speaker series where leaders share their experiences, stories and best practices to help you see and pursue your own leadership potential.

In a talk that is thought-provoking, funny and emotional, social activist, Jessica Shortall delves into the myriad ways our culture reinforces gender roles in work and caregiving.

Thursday, March 21st from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Women's Club of Wisconsin

Women's History Month Brunch

Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 AM-Noon at Ozaukee Country Club

The League of Women Voters of Ozaukee County welcomes Janette Braverman as our speaker for our annual Women’s History Month Event on March 23, 2019. Ms. Braverman’s topic is “Unleash Your Greatness." Tickets are on sale through March 15th for $40 per person and can be purchased online or by sending in a check. Ticket details at the link below. This event is open to all community members.



Evolving Women! With Rochelle E. Parker

Saturday, March 23rd from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at 2004 N 33rd Street

Supporting women through different stages of healing. So come and join us once month to go through the healing journey with different speakers and activities! Women ages 25-35 - Food, raffle, and fellowship to connect with other women.




Does Women's Wear Really WORK? with Women in Design MKE

Tuesday, March 26th from 5:30-7:30 PM at Mount Mary University
